AUTHOR - DENISE BEAUMONT
Denise Beaumont is the author and creator of the 'Alice the Palace Postwoman' rhyming children's picture book series.
Drawn to Oxfordshire and its unspoilt Cotswold landscapes, Denise found that the warmth of a tea-shop (and jam scone…) extended so much further out into the charismatic stone-built towns and villages. Most notably spending time walking UNESCO Blenheim Palace, with its magnificent architecture and surrounding parkland which became the true source of inspiration for the ‘Alice the Palace Postwoman’ stories.
Denise has a love of bonny charming books with colourful language, light hearted joviality and playfulness. Her interest in writing rhyme developed as a technique to practice mindfulness; take note of the things around her and apply focus in a busy world. Alongside her creative aspirations, her career focus is Operational Excellence practices and Learning & Development which overlaps with her interests to nurture children from the earliest ages.
Denise values the power of imagination, a smile and small acts of kindness, which are always visible within her stories where friendship can be found in different ways. With a keen eye to include beautiful illustrations and heartfelt characters, her books are set to enchant and inspire readers to feel confident, strong, special about who they are, whilst being observant of what they hear and what they see.
