SUSTAINABILITY
Moosh Children’s Books have set out a framework comprising what we pledge to do to reduce our impact on the environment. At a wider level, it also encompasses what we’re doing to make a positive social impact that inspires others to join us in building a healthier and more resilient planet.
We’ve called this framework our ‘PURE environment stance’ which form the pillars to our sustainable resolutions. These drive our actions that we believe need to be taken to help reduce or mitigate climate and environmental concerns and provide our world with longevity. We’ve divided them into four areas of focus: to Protect, Utilise, Restore and Educate.

Our business is not flawless (not just yet!), but from conception, we do strive for environmental excellence. We still have many things we aspire to do to improve but we do continuously examine and evaluate every area of our business with great desire to be a little bit better every day.
PROTECT
Moosh Children’s Books is committed to protecting the environment, so we are proud to promote that we will always seek eco-friendly options when creating or distributing our products. We aspire to create beautiful books that use sustainably-sourced materials, while investing in carbon offsetting that helps to neutralise our impact on the environment. There are so many other eco ‘ways of being’ we feel passionate about and will simply never deviate from. Find our more about our sustainable stance and how we strive to protect our planet.
UTILISE
When we create our books, we have thought carefully about; who, when, why and what they will be used for. Our aim for our books is more than its practical use for reading, colouring or enjoying its illustrations. We want to encourage others to think as we have, and to make best use of; to use to its fullest extent, potential, or ability of what we create. So In addition to the manner it was originally designed for, we’ve given hints, tips and thoughts on how to utilise our books to the max! Restore
We love books, but we also love our planet. Therefore, it has been important to us to establish clear and repeatable ways to support the preservation of our natural environment. By looking for ways to Carbon balance our print helps combat global warming and also deliver against our social and commercial responsibilities. Our print choices have therefore felt quite simple, and enable us to reduce the carbon impact of our printed books. We do this by quantifying the amount of CO2 required and work with initiatives that ensure we can restore and balance what we use. Find out more about the ways that we restore and rebalance.
Educate
Education on climate and the environment can encourage people to change their attitudes and behaviour just by understanding an the impact of a choice. By educating on sustainable options and learning to recognise a savvy selection when there is one, can be truly liberating and empowering for both children and adults. It has been through our own journey of education, that aspired us to create our PURE framework.
