Woodstock & other Oxfordshire Libraries!

Marvellous news for the community!

Alice the Palace Postwoman tootles its way into Oxfordshire Libraries…

Woodstock Library in Oxfordshire has become the first to hold copies of Alice the Palace Postwoman series, making the books available to little readers to borrow from the end of August 2024 onwards. With 44 libraries across the region, this will be cheery news to those that love to include library visits within their family reading regime.

Libraries play a significant role in supporting literacy and a love of reading. Starting with the very young, Oxfordshire libraries encourage reading in early years and beyond by delivering a range of events and initiatives to increase library participation by children – these include author talks, story times, Chatterbooks reading groups and rhyme times for under 3s. We are super enthused to have the series be a part of this pledge to foster a love of creativity and reading.

Keep an eye on our Palace blog where we will keep you posted with author events lined up for Oxfordshire in the coming months - but in the meantime should you wish to borrow an Alice or Alfie story, pop along to your local library and say a cheery hi to your lovely library assistant.💌
